Welcome to the Town of Wawayanda. Our town is located in the western part of Orange County, New York, with a population of 7,558 as recorded by the 2021 census bureau.  The Town of Wawayanda was established November 27, 1849, from the Town of Minisink. It had been first settled after the American Revolution. Wawayanda consists of approximately 34.72 square miles (22,610 Acres).
